Coaching Notes, Now With Attachments
With this release, coaches can now attach secure documentation directly to a member's Notes, and the Quitting Tobacco and Nicotine course has been fully modernized—60 videos and all—to match how members actually watch and learn today. Looking ahead, September brings Pause & Connect, an Autopilot Challenge built around the conversations members are already having. It also brings a change to how support gets requested: starting September 15, every request goes through the support portal, ensuring faster routing, visible status, and a security check built into every submission. Together, these updates make documentation more secure, support more responsive, and content more current.
Coaching Notes, Now with Attachments
What's New
Secure File Attachments on Notes
Coaches and admins can now attach PDFs, images (PNG/JPG), and DOCX files directly to a Note on a member record. Every attachment runs through malware scanning before anyone but the uploader can see it, so nothing lands on a member record without a security check first. PDFs and images preview inline; DOCX files download for viewing. Notes and their attachments remain fully internal—members never see them and can't upload to a Note themselves.
Why It Matters, in a Nutshell
Documentation in one place—Coaches can attach reference material straight to a member's record instead of tracking it in email or a shared drive.
Security by default, not by request—Malware scanning runs automatically before an attachment is visible to anyone else, which matters for a platform holding sensitive member information.
Still entirely internal—Attachments follow the same visibility rules as Notes, so coaching documentation stays exactly where it belongs.
Quitting Tobacco and Nicotine, Modernized from the Ground Up
The same modernization effort that gave Eating Healthy, Living Lean a new look has reached Quitting Tobacco and Nicotine. All 60 videos in the course have been replaced, top to bottom; shorter, sharper, a refreshed visual style, and with a new emphasis that includes vaping alongside cigarette smoking.
What's Changing
Updated Scripts
Every script has been rewritten with current terminology and current science. One update mattered more than the rest: when this course was originally built, vaping barely existed, so it was never part of the conversation. It is now. Vaping references run throughout the updated scripts alongside tobacco, so the course meets nicotine users where a lot of them are today, not where they were when the course was filmed.
Shorter Videos Across the Board
Every video now runs 2–3 minutes on average, with a hard 5-minute ceiling. The content hasn't changed; the pacing finally matches how people actually watch video today.
A More Engaging Visual Experience
New imagery and a refreshed presentation style run through every video. The production quality now matches what members expect from content today, not content built a decade earlier.
Why It Matters, in a Nutshell
Tobacco and nicotine cessation is one of the highest-ROI wellness investments an employer can make; videos that hold attention make it more likely members finish the program, not just start it.
A visibly modern cessation course is a stronger line item in any benefits recommendation, especially for clients with high tobacco or nicotine use in their population.
Current language and framing means this course looks and sounds modern, with relevance to today's smokers and vapers alike.
For clients without a dedicated wellness team, a course that already looks credible does some of the selling itself; nobody has to explain away outdated footage before members will watch it.
Quitting Tobacco and Nicotine (formerly LivingFree) has always been one of Avidon's highest-impact courses and this update reflects the commitment to keeping it as modernized and impactful as it's ever been.
September Autopilot Challenge: Pause & Connect
Registration opens: August 31 | Challenge begins: September 7
Pause & Connect is a seven-day Challenge that meets participants inside the interactions they're already having. Rather than asking for more time or new rituals, each daily prompt fits into conversations that are already happening, like a work check-in, a family dinner, or even just a quick text. The Challenge simply invites one small shift: fuller attention, a more genuine question, or an internalized appreciation said out loud. Each day offers two paths so participants can direct their focus where it matters most: close relationships like family, partners, and close friends, or everyday interactions with coworkers, neighbors, and acquaintances.
All Support Requests Are Moving to the Portal—Faster Help, Same Team
Starting September 15, there's a simpler, faster way to get technical support. All requests will come to us through our support sites, where they're routed straight to the right team the moment you submit them:
For admins and coaches: platformsupport.avidonhealth.com
For members: support.avidonhealth.com
You can also get there anytime by clicking the Help button inside the portal.
Change takes effect: September 15 | Last day email creates a ticket: September 14
What You'll Notice
Faster routing—Your request goes straight to the right team when it's created.
Fewer back-and-forth emails— The portal asks for the details we need up front (and lets you attach screenshots), so we're not chasing you for more information before we can help.
Status you can actually see—Check where your ticket stands anytime, instead of waiting on a reply just to know it's being worked on.
Better security—Submissions come from verified accounts, which cuts the risk of phishing or impersonation.
Self-service, right there—Relevant FAQs and articles surface as you type, so some issues will get solved without a ticket at all.
One front door for support, and one clear way to track it while it's being handled. After 9/14, emails to our support email addresses will no longer create a ticket automatically; instead, they'll bounce with a link to the support portal.
