Introducing a Powerful New Feature: Habit Builders
This release introduces Habit Builders, a new unified system that brings our challenges, structured programs, and upcoming content together under one flexible framework designed to support lasting behavior change. Alongside this shift, we’ve made improvements to the messaging system for better scheduling, visibility, and compliance, and Autopilot continues to deliver fresh engagement opportunities each month with guided challenges like Color Your Plate and the upcoming Spring Renewal Challenge in April.
Introducing Habit Builders: A New Way to Build Lasting Change
We're excited to introduce Habit Builders — a new content type in Avidon that sits alongside Courses and Challenges, purpose-built for focused, single-habit transformation. Where Courses guide members through comprehensive wellness journeys and Challenges spark motivation through shared competition, Habit Builders occupy a distinct space: structured, self-paced experiences designed to help members build or reshape one specific habit at a time.
This release brings nine Habit Builders to the platform — including several experiences that were previously available as on-demand Challenges — and introduces a powerful new framework that lets clients create and deploy their own.
Nine Habit Builders, Ready to Go
We're launching with a curated library of nine experiences spanning sleep, stress, movement, nutrition, and more:
Easing into Exercise — Designed specifically for mostly sedentary individuals, this experience helps participants reshape their relationship with movement, focusing on accessibility, enjoyment, and long-term sustainability rather than intensity or performance.
The Sleep Reset: Rhythm & Snooze — A two-week experience that helps participants rebalance their natural sleep-wake cycle through practical adjustments and guided actions that support deeper, more restorative rest.
Taming the Worry Wart: Your Anti-Anxiety Toolkit — A playful yet evidence-based experience designed to help participants manage anxiety with greater confidence, quiet racing thoughts, and navigate everyday stress more steadily.
ReThink the Drink: Alcohol Cutback Experiment — A supportive experience for anyone looking to reduce, pause, or reevaluate their relationship with alcohol, building awareness and habits aligned with their wellbeing goals.
Pump Up the Beat: The Heart Health Habit Builder — A 7-day experience guiding participants through small, meaningful actions that support cardiovascular health — making heart-smart habits accessible and sustainable.
Kickstart: Healthy Habits Reset — A four-week reset focused on the foundational pillars of wellbeing: sleep, nutrition, movement, and preventative care.
Buzz Break! The Caffeine Cutback Experiment — A guided reset that supports mindful caffeine reduction or substitution while building steady, sustainable energy without the crash.
Activate: 7 Days of Motion! — A simple, week-long experience with short educational bits and mini-workout prompts designed to introduce different types of daily movement.
The Creativity Challenge: Unboxing Your Perspective — A five-phase journey designed to expand perspective and unlock creative thinking through guided prompts and experiential activities.
Note for clients: Several of these Habit Builders were previously available as on-demand Challenges. Moving them into the new Habit Builder framework resolves the confusion having them listed under Challenges, and gives them a more accurate, intuitive home in the platform.
Build Your Own Habit Builders
Clients can now create custom Habit Builder programs directly in the admin. The Habit Builder system is designed to be both flexible and powerful:
Custom Program Structure — Create experiences with any number of phases, each with its own duration, theme, and focus.
Flexible Progression Models — Choose fixed progression for structured guidance or sliding progression for greater participant autonomy.
Automated Reminders & Motivational Messaging — Deliver scheduled nudges and event-based messages that keep participants engaged and on track.
Dynamic Content Composition — Combine videos, articles, guided flows, reflections, trackers, and custom activities — all within a single experience.
Embedded Tracking — Reinforce learning and behavior change directly within the program framework.
More Habit Builders Are on the Way
The nine experiences launching today are just the beginning. We'll be continuously building and adding new Habit Builders to the catalog — expanding the range of habits, topics, and populations the library can serve.
Messaging Improvements: Templates, Scheduling, and Delivery Controls
We’ve started rebuilding the platform’s core messaging system to improve flexibility, visibility, and compliance. There are more updates coming, but this first stage includes the following...
Message Templates
Templates are now channel-specific, with separate templates for SMS and Email.
Templates can be enabled or disabled to control which ones appear when composing messages.
Message Composition
Messages can now be scheduled up to 30 days in advance (previously 7 days).
The Notes tab has been removed when sending a message to an individual member creating a singular focused (drafting a message) experience.
Message Tags
Tags now use the updated format {{TagName}} instead of the previous format of %%TagName%%.
Quiet Hours
Your organization's SMS outreach is now TCPA-compliant out of the box. The platform automatically enforces quiet hours between 9pm and 8am in each member's local timezone, ensuring no SMS is sent during restricted windows without any configuration required from your team.
There's one smart exception: SMS messages triggered through Flows are always delivered immediately. Because Flows are interactive, in-session experiences, a member actively going through one is awake, engaged, and expecting a response — so those messages are exempt from quiet hours by design.
If your organization needs to go further, administrators can configure stricter quiet hours at the portal level — for example, cutting off earlier in the evening or starting later in the morning. The platform enforces TCPA minimums as a floor, so configured windows can only be more conservative, never less.
Delivery Visibility
Coaches and admins can now see email bounce reasons, suppression status, and phone status explanations directly on member profiles and in search results. When composing a message, the platform will warn you if a member's email or phone number is suppressed — catching the issue before you send, not after. Together, these updates give your team the context needed to troubleshoot delivery issues faster, keep member records accurate, and avoid wasted outreach to unreachable contacts.
Autopilot Challenges: Color Your Plate & Spring Renewal
Our Autopilot Challenges continue to provide simple, structured ways for participants to build healthier habits throughout the year.
Color Your Plate (Current Challenge)
This 3-week Challenge encourages participants to add more colorful whole foods to their meals in a simple, approachable way. Rather than focusing on restrictions or strict tracking, participants explore small daily ways to include fruits and vegetables using a flexible “grocery list” and practical ideas for meals and snacks. The goal is to make healthy eating feel manageable while building confidence around adding more whole foods to everyday routines.
Spring Renewal (Beginning in April)
Starting in early April, the two-week Spring Renewal Challenge focuses on creating space for fresh routines and a lighter mindset. Through small daily mini-challenges, participants begin by letting go of what feels outdated or heavy, then shift toward refreshing habits and environments that support their well-being.
Each month, Autopilot automatically introduces a new Challenge, giving participants ongoing opportunities to build healthy habits through simple, guided experiences.
