Starting Strong in 2026: A More Personal, Motivating Avidon Experience

DATE:
AUTHOR: The Avidon Health team

Our first release of 2026 sets a strong tone for the year ahead—focused, personalized, and built to drive real, lasting behavior change. This update introduces a powerful new way to connect wearables with Avidon, the launch of our 2026 Challenge Autopilot, and several platform enhancements designed to make health engagement even smoother and more rewarding.

Seamless Health Sync: Connect with Apple Health and Google Health

We’re thrilled to announce a major enhancement to the Avidon mobile experience: a unified integration with Apple Health and Google Health Connect. This update enables nearly effortless, two-way syncing of health data across a variety of wearables and fitness apps. With this integration, information from connected devices and apps can now flow smoothly into Avidon and, if desired, back to native health platforms.

The rollout supports trackers including activity, blood glucose, blood pressure, body fat, calorie, hydration, sleep, steps, waist circumference (not supported on Android) and weight.

This enhancement helps members stay engaged with less manual data entry while giving coaches richer, more accurate insights to personalize guidance and reinforce lasting behavior change.

Here are some images showing the functionality on Android

When the member is on the tracker page, trackers that support data-syncing will display the "Connect Device" button:

They can then grant permission for Avidon's access to enable syncing:

Once synced, the tracker shows the imported data in the tracker's display:

The graph details will now display the most recently imported records with some options for what the graph displays:

New Year, New Challenges: Kickstart 2026!

A new year of Challenge Autopilot is officially underway. Each year, Challenge Autopilot delivers a fresh lineup of monthly Challenges designed to keep wellness engaging, timely, and easy to participate in. We’re beginning with “Kickstart 2026!”, a 4-week Challenge designed to help participants reset their routines and build sustainable habits across four essential lifestyle pillars:

  • Better sleep

  • Balanced meals

  • More movement

  • Proactive self-care

Running from Sunday, January 4 through the end of the month, this Challenge provides a simple, supportive way for members to ease into the new year with structure, motivation, and daily guidance.

Challenge Autopilot ensures consistent engagement all year long, keeping wellness fresh, timely, and easy to participate in without additional setup.

Other Platform and System Updates

Branding Updates

  • The “LivingX” suffix has been removed from all calendar-based course names to improve clarity and simplify naming conventions.

Course & Program Updates

  • The course “Getting Active (LivingFit)” has been officially retired on January 5, 2025.

  • It has been replaced by “Easing into Exercise,” a new program that offers a more supportive, approachable introduction to building movement habits.

  • Members currently enrolled in “Getting Active (LivingFit)” may continue uninterrupted through March 30.

  • All other members will now see a retirement notice and be guided to start “Easing into Exercise” instead.

This change ensures a smoother, more engaging experience for members who are beginning—or returning to—physical activity.

Domain Updates

Calculator Updates

  • BMI Calculator retired
BMI is increasingly recognized as an outdated and limited health metric. Removing it aligns with a more holistic, person-centered approach to wellness.

  • “Resting” Calorie Calculator retired
While some people find this useful as part of their weight management efforts, for others, this calculator reinforced restrictive behaviors that don’t necessarily support long-term habit change. Its removal reflects Avidon’s commitment to sustainable, coaching-based health practices.
