New "Skip Rows" Setting for Data Processing
What's Changing
A new optional setting: Skip the first N rows
When you upload a member eligibility file, you can now tell the system how many rows to ignore before it starts looking for your column headers and data. If your file has two extra rows at the top, set it to 2. The system skips them, finds your headers, and processes everything normally from there.
If you don't configure anything, nothing changes; the default is zero rows skipped, so existing uploads work exactly as before.
This setting applies to both eligibility file uploads and the broader data processing system, so however your organization sends member data to Avidon, you're covered.
Why It Matters
Your files work as-is—No more pre-processing files in Excel just to delete a header row before uploading.
Less room for error—Having to remove rows manually before uploading creates an opportunity for mistakes. Skipping that step means fewer failed uploads and fewer support tickets.
This update won't change anything for teams whose files are already formatted correctly; for everyone else, it removes a small but surprisingly annoying step from the upload process.
