Real-Time Coaching Dashboard

We're upgrading the coaching dashboard with live, real-time updates so coaches always see the latest task activity without manually refreshing the page. New tasks, completions, and reassignments appear instantly across the entire coaching team—keeping everyone in sync and focused on their members instead of their browser's refresh button.

What's Changing

• Live Task Updates The coaching task list now updates automatically in real time. When a new task is created, it appears at the top of the list immediately. When a task is completed by any coach on the team, it fades out across everyone's view with a brief visual confirmation—so the rest of the team knows it's handled. Reassigned tasks move seamlessly between coaches—no refresh needed at any point.

• Connection Health Indicator A small status indicator lets coaches know their real-time connection is active. If connectivity drops, the dashboard automatically reconnects and refreshes to ensure nothing is missed—even after extended network interruptions.

• Outstanding Task Badge A badge on the Coaching navigation button displays the count of outstanding tasks assigned to the logged-in coach, visible from anywhere in the admin site. The count stays accurate across sessions and updates in real time as tasks are assigned or completed.

• Browser Notifications When new tasks are assigned, a brief toast notification (non-intrusive slider) appears with the task summary so coaches can stay aware without switching screens. If multiple tasks arrive at once, they're batched into a single notification to avoid clutter. Coaches also receive web browser notifications for new incoming messages, ensuring timely follow-up even when the dashboard isn't in the foreground.

• Uninterrupted Workflow – Scroll position is preserved when tasks update, and coaches' own actions don't trigger duplicate notifications—so the experience stays smooth and distraction-free.

This update transforms the coaching dashboard from a static task list into a live, shared workspace—giving coaching teams real-time awareness of assignments and activity, eliminating duplicated effort, and helping coaches deliver more responsive, timely support to their members.
