This release contains updates that primarily affect the end-user. Highlights: a new fitness planner, improved methods of disabling reminders, and greater access to the Daily Z Library.

New Updates & Features

NEW FITNESS PLANNER

This feature is specifically targeted towards sedentary users who want to become more active. It is available to participants in any course, but is particularly aimed at those involved in the LivingLean, LivingFit, and LivingWell courses.

The fitness planner allows users to customize exercise routines they intend to do on a daily and weekly basis. They can identify types of exercise, including cardio and resistance, and can sort by low, medium, and high-impact options.

Note: This fitness planner replaces a much simpler version.

What this means for the client:

There is nothing you need to do.

What this means for the user:

The fitness planner will allow the user to create an organized plan, intended to increase motivation and feasibility in beginning an exercise routine. This will help the sedentary user become more active incrementally, and will ease any sense of overwhelm.

Note: For users who have already created a fitness plan using the old version, their plan is automatically transferred to this new and improved planner.

GREATER ACCESS TO DAILY Z LIBRARY

The sleep program (LivingWellRested) contains a collection of content called the "Daily Z's." The content - which spans the gamut of sleep-related topics - is now accessible on the portal in the "Daily Z Library" and can be visited at the user's discretion.

Previously, this content was sent daily via email to users. For those users who opted out of the emails, this content was not accessible.

What this means for the client:

There is nothing you need to do.

What this means for the user:

If a user opts out of emails, they can still access all of the content associated with the Daily Z Library, which includes 45 articles and audios related to healthy sleep.

BIOMETRIC TRACKERS DATA EXPORT

Data from the following biometric trackers can now be exported:

  • Weight Tracker
  • Blood Glucose Tracker
  • Blood Pressure Tracker
  • Cholesterol Tracker
  • A1C Tracker

This is useful for participants who want to transfer their data records to other trackers on the internet.

This was also done to comply with our own regulatory standards.

What this means for the client:

There is nothing you need to do.

What this means for the user:

They can use the data they’ve collected for their own purposes, independent of their engagement with SelfHelpWorks.

RECURRING REMINDERS: IMPROVED DISABLING OPTION

Users have the option to set up recurring email reminders using our “Reminders Tool.” Whereas the user has always had the option to disable a reminder, it has been made easier as they can now do so through the reminder email itself. This is an upgrade in clarification and functionality, simplifying the process of disabling any reminder that had previously been set but is no longer wanted.

Note: The emails have always had an unsubscribe link, but it merely unsubscribed from email communications, and did not disable set reminders.

What this means for the client:

There is nothing you need to do.

What this means for the user:

Users can now disable previously created reminders through a link in the footer of every reminder email they receive.

LIVINGHEALTHY COURSE ADDED

A new nutrition course called LivingHealthy has been created. The course is an enhanced version of a short video series previously available on the Tools menu.

LivingHealthy is a purely educational course, designed to inform the user on basic nutrition. The course teaches simple but effective strategies to shop, cook, and plan ahead to make healthy eating easy and cost effective.
