The notification feature helps users keep their place in courses and highlights the important tools when they become available throughout the course.
The purpose of the notification feature is to present, in an organized fashion, the most pertinent information to the user throughout their experience with any SelfHelpWorks course. The notification feature exists as a bell icon at the top of the main navigation bar; when there is a notification, a prominent pink badge indicating the number of new notifications appears. Selecting the notification bell displays the notifications list.
There are notifications for the following occurrences:
- A new session has become “unlocked” and available to the user.
- A user has started and then abandoned a session before completing; when clicked, this notification slide will take the user directly to the course homepage.
- New support content has been unlocked; this could include support audio or key to success cards, for example.
- Any new updates or opportunities from SelfHelpWorks that may apply to the user.
Notifications are ordered by the date they were issued and timestamped so the user knows exactly when they were delivered. Notifications can be dismissed either as a group all at once or individually, allowing users to retain notifications as reminders.
The implementation of the notification feature should further assist users in remaining up-to-date with their course and their current place within it. The notification feature is an extension of our ongoing commitment to provide our users with the best training experience possible.
