This release contains a new version of the mobile app and a sweeping effort to expand the representation of diversity in images site-wide.

New Updates & Features

NEW VERSION OF MOBILE APP RELEASED

An improved version of the mobile app has been released. The improvements were minor but numerous, culminating in what we expect to be a more enjoyable, fluid mobile experience for course participants.

Here are some of the updates:

  • Calendar functionality for the Daily Sleep Improvement Journal is now more intuitive and comprehensive. Users can enter their sleep records simply by selecting a date.
  • Course libraries have been updated; specifically, the presentation of the transcript view on the audio player is improved with a slightly larger font size. It is also easier to jump between the various library subcategories.
  • The Key to Success card layout now fits perfectly for viewing on iOS, as it already does on Android.
  • There is a smoother, more natural rotation response and greater functionality in both portrait and landscape positions.
  • A 30-day expiration has been added for SSO access codes. The codes are automatically renewed for 30-day periods every time an SSO user accesses our website through a client portal. This was done to balance access to features we add to the mobile app while ensuring that users engage with their client portal.
  • Visuals and overall functionality have been improved. There is now a "more menu" in the upper corner of the screen to make it easier to switch page views.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR THE USER:

Many small sources of potential friction for mobile users have  been removed.

IMAGES REPLACED TO PROMOTE DIVERSITY THROUGHOUT SITE

Depiction of age, gender, and ethnicity has been more diversified in images within courses and throughout our site.

Our goal as a company is to raise the rates of success for everyone who is trying to improve their lifestyle; part of reaching this goal is making sure everyone is as comfortable with their SelfHelpWorks experience as possible. While images throughout our site were not necessarily lacking in diversity before, this effort has broadened and balanced representation of diversity across all facets, including age, gender, and ethnicity.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR THE USER:

Greater diversity in images across the site and within each specific course can help to increase a sense of connectivity and self-representation for every participant.

PRINTOUT PRESENTATION OF SLEEP PLAN & TRACKER IMPROVED

The sleep plan and the sleep tracker are important for participants who are keeping personal records. The sleep plan is a user-created guide that outlines the recurring daily events that help to regulate sleep through consistent patterns of behavior. The sleep tracker helps users keep an organized history of their sleep-related habits.

No major change was made to the displays, but both are now printable with higher resolution and smaller file size.
