New Video Added to LivingEasy
LivingEasy was designed by experts in collaboration with the University of Texas and has long been a highly effective cognitive-based solution to the relatively common stressors that most people face in life. With the emergence of the pandemic, we felt the need to emphasize to participants that LivingEasy is the right program at the right time for them. The time-tested tenets and philosophy of the course are effective in any situation, regardless of the stressor to which they are applied—especially now.
The introductory video is delivered by renowned physician and public health expert, LaMar Hasbrouck, MD, MPH. Dr. Hasbrouck is the former Director of the Illinois Department of Public Health and he has spent a large part of his esteemed career leading human service and health-related enterprises. Dr. Hasbrouck explains to participants that, while these are uncertain and unprecedented circumstances, the cognitive behavioral training method at the root of LivingEasy is still uniquely capable of lowering stress levels, improving mental and physical health, and retraining the brain to find peace where chaos and anxiety have reigned. Dr. Hasbrouck reminds participants that managing stress levels is always important, perhaps never more so than now, and that the course is self-guided and can be taken at the pace of their choosing.
In Summary
The end-user has always been, and continues to be, the most important priority for SelfHelpWorks. The LivingEasy course has a long track record of helping people regain footing and establish a permanent sense of resiliency, and the pandemic warranted a special message to participants.
