This release contains a wide array of minor, but impacting, improvements to user experience.

New Updates & Features

CALL-TO-ACTION PUSH NOTIFICATIONS ADDED

Users can receive session reminders and certain course communications as push notifications on their mobile devices. Upon swiping the notifications, users will be redirected to their course homepage, or if applicable, to the daily sleep improvement journal.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR the USER:

The mobile experience is expanding in scope-of-capability and convenience.

PORTAL HOMEPAGE IMPROVED

The portal landing page has been re-stylized in the pursuit of an improved overall presentation. Course tiles and descriptions are displayed neatly and now appear without requiring a click by the user. This new portal layout makes it easier for users to scan course offerings:

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR THE USER:

This homepage presents the courses and their descriptions more clearly than ever before. Also, for new and returning users who log in directly to our site, there is a prominent call-to-action.

NEW TREATMENT FOR END OF VIDEOS

When a user finishes a video in a session, they must take action to continue. Previously, the user had to click a "continue" button beneath the video tile. We have made the call-to-action more obvious by adding a play icon on the screen of the completed video so there is no user-confusion about the next step.

What this means for the user:

When a video has ended, the next step to progress is obvious.

IMPROVEMENTS TO PERSONALCOACH RATINGS SYSTEM

The interface for the PersonalCoach ratings system has been improved in two specific ways:

  1. The display of ratings values for user-input is a more intuitive design with an improved slider, and
  2. The user now has the ability to review previous entries from the PersonalCoach segments of earlier sessions.

The functionality has also been improved, with greater consistency and smoother interaction.

what this means for the user:

The process of reporting to the PersonalCoach has been polished, and reviewing previous responses allows for more recollection and introspection.

LINK TO CERTIFICATE-OF-COMPLETION ADDED TO COMPLETION EMAILS

Course completion emails now contain a link that allows users to download their course completion certificate without having to log in. This was done for the convenience of the user.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR THE USER:

After completing a course and immediately receiving the course completion email, getting the certificate for proof of the accomplishment is as easy as it gets: one click.
